RB Leipzig fans snub Rangers Europa League showdown with less than half of Ibrox ticket allocation sold

RB Leipzig fans have taken up under HALF of their ticket allocation against Rangers.

The Bundesliga side are at Ibrox tomorrow night for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final showdown against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men.

But the Leipzig faithful aren’t travelling in their numbers, having snapped up just 1,000 tickets of the 2,200 allocated to them, according to the Scottish Daily Express.

That’s in stark contrast to domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund, who filled the away section for the Round of 32 tie back in February.

But RB’s punters, who have yet to see their club win a major trophy since it was created by energy drink giants Red Bull in 2009, aren’t heading to Glasgow en masse.

The Govan ground is sure to be rocking as Rangers look to overturn the 1-0 deficit suffered in the first leg.

Angelino’s late volley denied them an impressive clean sheet in the Red Bull Arena.

But their victory over Dortmund and turnaround against Braga in the quarter-final will give the hosts belief they can do it again in order to reach the final.

It’s set to be an emotional night at Ibrox too as the club prepares to pay tribute to late kit man Jimmy Bell.
