Barcelona defeated Sevilla 2-1 in the 38th round of La Liga, winning by a narrow margin.
Addressing the incoming head coach of the team, Barcelona’s Xavi Hernandez wished patience and success to his successor.
“I would like to tell the new coach that he will suffer and that he needs to be patient, as it is a very challenging position. The only thing that will save the new coach is winning,” said Xavi.
In addition, the Catalan team and former Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick have reached a comprehensive understanding. The German expert has consented to sign a two-year contract and has aspirations of coaching Barcelona.
It is important to remember that Xavi announced his resignation as Barcelona’s head coach following a 3-5 loss to Villarreal. At first, though, the club succeeded in persuading him to stay. Afterwards, Xavi’s remarks at a pre-match press conference against Almería, in which he claimed that the team’s financial problems prevented it from competing with Real Madrid for trophies, infuriated Joan Laporta. Laporta made the decision to fire Xavi in response to this.
