Another scandal involving financial matters is about to break out in Italian football. The nation’s premier clubs have been the subject of investigations by the financial authorities.
Twelve transfer agreements between Inter and Roma are under investigation by Italy’s financial police because these teams may have made illicit capital gains.
Investigations are also being conducted into transfers involving Sassuolo, Atalanta, and Napoli in addition to Inter and Roma. Colleagues in other cities have already received pertinent documents from the Rome prosecutor’s office.
The investigation’s main focus is on transgressions pertaining to fraudulent corporate reports on transfers involving Roma. Deals completed between 2017 and 2021 are receiving particular attention; two examples of these are the transfers of Davide Frattesi from the Roman club to Sassuolo and Radja Nainggolan from Roma.
