Laporta wants to sign Haaland or Neymar to Barcelona in honour of a return to the Camp Nou

This past summer, Barcelona was relatively quiet in the transfer market, with their only notable acquisition being Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. The club failed to secure deals with other targets. However, the summer of 2025 promises to be a highly active and exciting period for the Catalans.

Details: Barcelona president Joan Laporta is planning to mark the full completion of the Camp Nou renovation by signing a true superstar for the squad.

The top priority for Barcelona is Manchester City’s goal-scoring sensation, Erling Haaland. The club believes that if City faces significant sanctions for their 115 Financial Fair Play violations, they might be able to convince Haaland to join them.

The second option on their radar is a potential return of Neymar, currently playing for Al-Hilal. Neymar has yet to feature this season due to injury.
