Inter wins four consecutive Champions League matches for the first time since 2010

Inter’s victory over RB Leipzig in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage has allowed the club to equal a historical record, one that previously ended on a high note.

The Nerazzurri have now won four consecutive Champions League matches, a feat last achieved during the 2009/2010 season when Inter, under José Mourinho, went on to lift the coveted trophy at the end of the campaign.

Notably, even in the 2022/2023 season, when Inter reached the final, the team was unable to win more than two matches in a row.

Earlier this season, Simone Inzaghi’s side matched a 60-year-old record, scoring five goals in the first half of an away Serie A match for the first time since 1964, marking only the second occurrence in Inter’s history.
