Chelsea FC continues its vigorous acquisition of young talents from around the world.
The London club officially announced the signing of 19-year-old American left-back Caleb Wiley from Atlanta United.
Chelsea paid €10 million for Wiley’s transfer. The footballer signed a six-year contract with an option to extend for an additional season.
Wiley is regarded as one of the most promising talents in MLS. This season, he has played 21 matches for Atlanta United, scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist. Additionally, Wiley has 2 caps for the US national team.
This summer, Wiley will be part of the US Olympic team at the Paris Olympics.
