Going into the final day of the Premier League season, Arsenal is in the running for the title for the first time in this century.
The Gunners’ victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford last weekend assured them of winning the match, but Manchester City’s victory over them in the middle of the week gives them a two-point lead at the top with one game remaining.
While Arsenal is currently hoping for a favor from West Ham, they also need to win their next match against Everton in order to have any chance of winning the league for the first time in twenty years.
The Gunners have triumphed in both of their previous encounters with the Toffees by an overall score of 10-1, and they have enjoyed their final day games against them. Not since 2005 has Arsenal lost a match on the final day.
However, Everton has long maintained their Premier League standing and enters the match on a five-game winning streak. In actuality, Sean Dyche’s team is among the best in the division having won four of their previous five games.
As a result, even though they don’t have much to play for this weekend, they are prepared to give the hosts a difficult time inside a stadium that could become tense depending on what happens in Manchester during the day.
