This week marks the return of the UEFA Champions League, with Arsenal and PSG facing off in their second group stage match on Tuesday, October 1. The game is scheduled to begin at 21:00 Central European Time.
Arsenal
The Gunners’ match against Atalanta to open their European campaign resulted in a tense 0-0 draw. In the Premier League, though, Arsenal’s fortunes are far better. After six games, the team has four wins (against Wolverhampton, Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Leicester), two draws (against Manchester City and Brighton), and fourteen points.
They now only trail the league leaders by one point with a goal difference of 12-5. The Premier League is extremely competitive, with only two points separating the first and fifth-placed teams.
PSG
The Parisians, who just defeated Girona 1-0 in their opening Champions League game, are also playing very well. They created plenty of opportunities, so even with a narrow score, the win was well-earned. In Ligue 1, PSG is also playing well; after six games, they have one draw and five victories.
Their goal difference of 20-5 and 16 points put them atop the league standings right now. Despite losing their star player Kylian Mbappé this summer, the team has shown resilience in the face of adversity, as evidenced by the ascent of Bradley Barcola to the top of the Ligue 1 scoring chart with six goals.
