Real Madrid’s recent disappointing results are pushing the club to take decisive action in the transfer market, with at least one high-profile signing expected this winter.
The losses to Barcelona (0-4) and AC Milan (1-3) have convinced Real Madrid’s management that they must acquire a new right-back in January. This move is necessary to replace Dani Carvajal, who is sidelined with a torn ACL.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold remains Real Madrid’s top priority for the position. However, his contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2025, and the Reds are only willing to part with him in January for a substantial fee.
If a deal for Trent cannot be secured, Real Madrid will consider alternative options.
Reminder: There is speculation that Real may part ways with head coach Carlo Ancelotti if the team’s poor form continues.
