Unexpectedly. Sané agrees to move to Galatasaray

Leroy Sane’s inclusion in Bayern’s squad for the Club World Cup seemed to signal hope for an extended partnership between the parties. But everything changed dramatically at the last moment.

Bayern and Sané failed to reach an agreement on a new contract, as all of the club’s offers were rejected by the player’s camp. As a result, just a few hours ago, he informed the club of his decision to leave, with his current contract running until June 30.

The services of the German winger were offered to English clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Saudi side Al Hilal, but it was Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray who won the race for Sané. The Istanbul club already has the winger’s verbal agreement, and negotiations are now underway to finalize the details of the deal.

Reminder: Sané was demanding a salary of around 20 million euros from Bayern, but the “Rekordmeister” could only offer him about 15 million euros.
