Germany and Bayer Leverkusen’s star midfielder Florian Wirtz has suffered an ankle injury while playing for the national team in a match against the Netherlands.
Bayer Leverkusen has yet to determine when Wirtz will be able to return to training.
It was recently reported that Wirtz is in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen regarding a contract extension.
Leverkusen is set to face Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, October 19, in the 7th round of the Bundesliga, followed by an away match against Brest on Wednesday, October 23, in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
