Following the dismissal of Argentine head coach Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea is still looking for a new head coach for the main team.
The manager of Leicester, Enzo Mareska, has had positive talks with Chelsea, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. He’s ready for the next challenge and is open to the idea of taking the London club by storm. Ruben Amorim is not being considered, it has also been revealed. As he is in talks with Brighton, Kieran McKenna is no longer in the running for Chelsea.
The “Blues” reportedly extended a three-year contract offer to De Zerbi, with the option to sign on for an additional season. The Italian coach reportedly accepted these conditions. At the start of the following week, an official announcement regarding his appointment might be made.
We previously reported that Chelsea had announced Mauricio Pochettino’s departure earlier this week. To replace the Argentine, Chelsea has already compiled a shortlist of potential candidates; however, current developments have necessitated modifications to this list.
