Mikel Arteta is about to receive a big pay boost from Arsenal as part of a new contract offer.
With an eye toward matching Pep Guardiola’s £20 million annual salary, the London club intends to give Arteta a substantial pay increase.
With this upcoming contract, Arteta will not only receive the highest salary of any manager that Arsenal has ever offered, but he will also become one of the highest paid coaches in the nation.
Arteta currently makes about £9 million a year. All parties are optimistic that an agreement will be reached because he only has a year left on his current contract.
Arsenal has been led by Arteta since 2019. The previous season, the “Gunners” fought all the way to the last matchday of the Premier League, only to lose the trophy to Manchester City.
