Preview: Paris Saint-Germain vs Borussia Dortmund.

The first UEFA Champions League finalist for the 2023–24 season will be known today, Tuesday, May 7. When PSG plays in Paris, they’ll aim to get back after losing 0-1 in Dortmund.

PSG

PSG had a break in the French championship after their loss in the first leg of the semifinals. This is because PSG and Marseille’s matches in Ligue 1 were rescheduled for the following Wednesday in order for both teams to continue their European campaigns. Lucas Hernandez, the center back for PSG, suffered an injury in Dortmund last week. A torn cruciate ligament was discovered during the diagnostic process, which will keep him out for five to six months. Notably, PSG won the Ligue 1 championship ahead of schedule and will play Lyon in the French Cup final. So, there’s still hope for Luis Enrique’s team to win a quadruple.

Dortmund Borussia

Borussia Dortmund’s victory over PSG gave them a head start in the second leg and guaranteed a spot in the Champions League the following year. Dortmund, under Edin Terzic’s direction, is probably going to place fifth in the Bundesliga, but at least five German teams will play in the upcoming Champions League because of Germany’s high seasonal coefficient rating. Dortmund was able to rotate a lot during their most recent game against Augsburg as a result. With the legendary Marco Reus, who announced his departure from the club after the season, contributing with a goal and an assist, Dortmund crushed their opponents 5-1 even with their second-string lineup.
