Liverpool legend Alan Hansen has been hospitalized due to a serious illness, as reported by the official website of the Merseyside club.
It is reported that the former captain of the Reds is in the hospital, being “seriously ill.” Details of the illness are not disclosed.
“At present, the club is in contact with Alan’s family to provide support during this difficult time, and our thoughts, wishes, and hopes are with Alan and the entire Hansen family. We will provide further updates as they become available in due course and ask that the confidentiality of the Hansen family be respected at this time,” the Reds’ statement said.
The 68-year-old Hansen dedicated 14 years of his playing career to Liverpool. Together with the team, he won eight league titles, three European Cups, two FA Cups, and three League Cups.
