Manchester City 4-2 Crystal Palace: Kevin De Bourgine scores twice spectacularly, and Elling Haalande breaks duck as the city prevails.

Premier League champions Manchester City destroyed Crystal Palace 4-2 at Selhurst Park on Saturday lunchtime live thanks to two goals from Kevin De Bruyne, a goal from Rico Lewis, and a ducking by Erling Haaland. As a result, City is now tied for first place, and pressure is applied to title rivals Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of their respective games on Saturday and Sunday.
Following a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park during lunch, Manchester City rose to second place in the Premier League standings, level on points with leaders Liverpool.

Rico Lewis, Erling Haaland, and Kevin De Bruyne scored three goals in the second half to put an end to a closely contested first half. Odsonne Edouard scored a consoling goal, but it came too late to salvage any chance for a Palace comeback.
After just three minutes, Adam Wharton’s defence-splitting pass found Jean-Phillipe Mateta, who finished smartly to give Palace the lead. Ten minutes later, De Bruyne’s incredible goal cancelled out their lead.

Later in the half, Jordan Ayew struck the crossbar, but City eventually gained the upper hand and controlled possession the entire time.
As their pursuit of back-to-back Trebles intensifies, City will now take on Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday at the Bernabeu.
